Su Dennett is David Holmgren’s partner and together they live at Melliodora, the 35 year old permaculture demonstration site in Djaara country, Central Victoria. When Su isn't running the Holmgren Design office and Melliodora Publishing she is milking goats, tending bees and whipping up homegrown home cooked meals for the large crew who live, volunteer and work on the property, as well as visitors on tours and courses. In 2006 Su co-created Hepburn Relocalisation Network, a transition town initiative that runs free monthly workshops and speaking events and hosts community dinners. In 2013 Su was added to Hepburn Shire Council’s Women’s Honour Role for her community work and leadership in pursuing a low impact, simple lifeway.
