Sara Hicks

Climate and environmental educator, change-maker, youth mentor

You’ll most often find Sara Hicks in the bush with young folk where her wild heart is at home. She is an educator (MSc), former ABC journalist, and lover of the world.

Committed to youth empowerment and social change, Sara is the designer of Climate Courage education for adult gatekeepers and youth supporters. She’s also part of The Joyality Project team, and mentor and mentee with amazing Youth Leaders in Climate Resilience.

Sara’s focus is tending relationships as we create more regenerative communities. Drawing on multi-disciplinary training and a lifelong apprenticeship to mother earth, she is dedicated to the repair and reweaving of our nature-human-cultures braid.

Sara goes deep with experiential and emergent environmental education and loves to support others to reconnect with the wonder of their whole ecological being. As a heart-centred facilitator she engages diverse groups through adventure, traditional symbiotic living, interspecies connection, ceremony, rites of reconciliation and story.
