Sally Mathrick

Integrative Medicine, founder of Sparkle Well

Sally Mathrick studied Political Psychology, Psychoanalysis and Social theory at Melbourne University in the early '90s. Working at Greenpeace and Planet Ark, she supported environmental activism and education around climate change, toxicity and species extinction until getting exhausted and coming to recognise that it was disconnected humans making destructive decisions who needed balancing. She pursued her long held interest in wholistic medicine, and studied Naturopathy at Southern Cross Uni. During that time she studied Deep Ecology with John Seed.

Over the past 18 years, Sally has been offering her bag of healing insights to the world – from individual consultations, media involvement through writing the DIY Detox column for Wellbeing Magazine and features for numerous magazines, and providing a weekly natural medicine segment on the North Coast ABC with Mike Corkill. Sally co-directed 4 of the 5 Byron Integrative Medicine Conferences with Dr Anthony Solomon to create more collaborative models of health care. She has developed a range of online health courses, now housed in the Sparkle Well School, and started running fasting and cleansing retreats. She is currently working as a lecturer at Torrens University and facilitating individuals and groups through Sparkle Well School courses.
