Dr Kevin Glencross has been reforesting degraded lands in the Northern Rivers for over 25 years. Since 2002, he has been actively involved in local research on restoration of forest ecosystems, with particular interest in carbon sequestration, biodiversity/ecosystems services, ecotourism and agroforestry. He has also been involved in numerous international research programs in China and the Asia-Pacific region specialising in rural livelihoods, plantations (timber, coffee, cocoa, nuts and tropical fruit) protected area management, sustainable tourism and agroecology.
Kevin is interested in the integration of forest and farming, working with traditional agroforestry systems and Indigenous communities in Vanuatu and Fiji since 2007. Kevin also has been publishing research (over 25 publications) in national and international journals. Kevin is a Director of Forest Carbon Research Pty Ltd, focussing in supporting carbon projects since 2010.
